Immediately when you enter Tanjung Inn/Resort, you will notice the difference. The garden setting and the lawn is just breathtakingly beautiful. You can notice immediately that this resort really put an effort to take care of its natural surroundings.
Then once you breath in the whole atmosphere, its just easy to fall in love with the place – the natural setting, the ponds, the bugs and animals, the wooden chalet charm, the path to the beach and so much more.
Apart from that, the location of the resort is good with easy access to the beach, restaurants and other interesting place. The staff is very attentive and cheerful. And the rooms are spotless clean.
I would highly recommend this place for any travelers, especially so for those who can really appreciate nature.
Just a few setbacks tho – some areas seems a bit of an eyesore with rubbish piled here and there, probably so as some areas of the resort is undergoing some upgrade/renovation. I’m sure it’ll be cleared soon as you can see how obvious the resort owner maintain its cleanliness issues.
Stayed March 2015, travelled with family
“Must see, must experience this Garden on the Beach”
As my family and I arrived, walking towards the simple small reception counter, our minds were not so hopeful (compared to the usual hotel lobby environment that usually greet us during our holidays). But as we walked further into surroundings of the chalets, we were awed by what greets us. Chalets of traditional Malay designs and villas laced two beautifully landscaped ponds filled with bright fuschia lilies in one pond and another with pink lotus. The quietness of the surroundings to be filled only by chippings of the birds pose a perfect getaway from my usual hustle bustle life. I just love the picture perfect sceneries. Even the cafetaria (albeit a small one), has a natural touch of cosiness. Within walking distance to the beach, we (particularly the kids) are once again mesmerised by the sands and the sea..
We stayed in the villas. Simple decor but we love the spaciousness. Great for families and I am sure the rates offered are value for money. I would give an excellent rating to the environment and the accommodation.
As for service, IMHO, can be improved. During my stay, we experienced (a) basic toiletries such as soap & toilet rolls were only provided upon request (b) long wait for breakfast. Perhaps some outdoor benches outside the cafetaria to cater for waiting guests to be served breakfast, especially during peak seasons. Maybe can consider setting up some tables/chairs which I think guests wouldn’t mind sitting outside the cafetaria which itself overlooks another beautiful garden space.
Tanjung Inn, I would definitely see you again, for my own personal retreat!
“Great local accommodation, friendly service”
We stayed here as a family of five. We had the family villa and it was beautiful and they’d gone to a lot of effort to set it up with the right number of beds. Our bed was beautifully presented with flowers.
Villa was clean, airconditioned.
Setting was beautiful
Service was excellent
Breakfast was basic but appreciated.
Kids loved the wildlife.
It was an easy walk to the sights of Cherating.
“Perfect stop @Cherating”
We spend a few day on the Malaysian east coast, with familly. This place was just amazing and really soothing, populated with birds and monitor lizards. The beach aside is wide and the rooms are top-comfort.
Well a good place for energy filling and stress escaping.
Greatings from France!
“Back to nature”
Birding was the main focus of this trip … the resort was teeming with birds and you can shoot them from your balcony. being on a peninsular you get the best of both world – the Mangrove and South China Sea. An idyllic getaway destination for nature lovers, surfing (during monsoon season) or just enjoy the beautiful resort and the golden beach.
